Rita Happich Dodd died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Cross Timbers Rehab. and Healthcare Center (Flower Mound, TX). She was 94. Mrs. Dodd was born in New Orleans and lived in Lakeview until relocating to TX after Katrina. She was a former president of the PRANO organization and active member of the New Orleans People Program and a member of St. Dominic parish. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Randolph G. Dodd; her brothers Edward W. Happich, Jr. and Joseph Happich; and her son-in-law Walter A. Tarantino, Jr.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Kathleen D. Landry and Maureen D. Tarantino; 1 son, Dennis R. Dodd; 1 sister, Sister Mary Louise Happich; 5 grandchildren, Darnell T. Palasch, Tiffany L. Cavalier, Brian A. Tarantino, Tammy L. Seidenberger, and Tracy L. Guzzardo; and 9 Great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law to Dorothy G. Dodd. Beloved daughter of the late Edward W. Happich, Sr. and Catherine K. Happich. Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2016 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd at 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Memorial Mass in the chapel at 12:00 PM, followed by interment in Metairie Mausoleum.



Family request in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the Daughters of Charity.
