Patricia Lampard McDonald, “Patsy”, age 76 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Patsy was born in New Orleans, grew up in the Irish Channel and raised her family in Metairie.



Patsy had a presence like no other. She loved spending time with friends and family especially on such occasions as Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day. She also loved dancing, playing Pokeno with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. Patricia Lampard McDonald, “Patsy”, age 76 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Patsy was born in New Orleans, grew up in the Irish Channel and raised her family in Metairie.



Patsy had a presence like no other. She loved spending time with friends and family especially on such occasions as Thanksgiving and St. Patrick’s Day. She also loved dancing, playing Pokeno with her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. Beside her personal family, her extended family included her St. Christopher and Cleary families where many important bonds were formed. She was a former employee of Jefferson Guarantee Bank, J&B Pest Control and most recently at East Jefferson Head Start.



She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John and children Maureen d’Aquin (husband Dennis), and Michael (wife Carrie); her grandchildren Emily, Kyle, and Avery d’Aquin, Andrew and Ryan McDonald; her sister Judy Vollenweider (husband Ed) and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.



She is preceded in death by her son, Matthew McDonald, mother, Frances Cronin Lampard, brother, Robert “Bobby” Lampard, and father, Patrick Lampard.



Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 1:30pm at St. Christopher the Martyr Catholic Church, 3900 Derbigny St., Metairie, with visitation beginning at 10:30. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
