Emma Jeanette "Jean" Guedimin passed away at her home on January 6, 2018 at the age of 84 from the flu. She was a native of Forrest County, MS and longtime resident of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her parents Acey and Hattie Herrington and by sisters, Linda Pearl Stennett and Rita Collins. She is survived by her sister, Janice Ward of Petal, MS. Jean is also survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Victor Guedimin; her three daughters, April Lowe (Mike), June Davisson (Walt) and Carolynne Burns (Jimmy), and four...

Emma Jeanette "Jean" Guedimin passed away at her home on January 6, 2018 at the age of 84 from the flu. She was a native of Forrest County, MS and longtime resident of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her parents Acey and Hattie Herrington and by sisters, Linda Pearl Stennett and Rita Collins. She is survived by her sister, Janice Ward of Petal, MS. Jean is also survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Victor Guedimin; her three daughters, April Lowe (Mike), June Davisson (Walt) and Carolynne Burns (Jimmy), and four grandchildren, Christopher Lowe, Alexandra Lowe, Hanna Davisson and Christina Davisson. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, gardening, painting and excursions with social clubs. She was a devoted wife who enjoyed many trips with her husband to their favorite spots in Fort Walton and Pensacola Beach, FL. Her warm smile will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of New Orleans, 5290 Canal Blvd, New Orleans 70124. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to First Baptist Church of New Orleans in her honor.
