David Randolph Brant Sr. passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Foster, father Hughes Brant, sister Patricia Brant, first wife Dianne Montalbano Brant, mother and father-in-law Edith and Frank Montalbano. He is survived by his son David "Randy" Brant, two sisters, Kathy (Denny) Myers, Elizabeth (Jerry) Shook, second wife Charlotte Brammell including daughter Nina (Kenneth) Friend, Stephen (Laurie) Brammell, Roger (Daryn) Brammell, David (Misty) Brammell and numerous grandchildren.

David, known to many as "Butch" or "Mr. B", was born in Jacksonville Florida, and grew up on Ladys Island in the small town of Beaufort, South Carolina. He moved to New Orleans in the mid 1960s and became a registered land surveyor for over 40 years with Dufrene Surveying and Engineering. His hobbies included going to finer restaurants for dinner (but not dancing), traveling and cruises, swimming, and the "occasional" Bombay on the rocks (with blue cheese olives) while listening to Phil Melancon play the piano at the Pontchartrain Hotel.

A man of few words, with quick wit and a great sense of humor will be missed by many.
